A Chinese carrier rocket designed for commercial use has made its maiden flight, carrying three satellites into orbit. State media released footage of the successful launch.
Weighing 23 tons, the new Smart Dragon-1 rocket was developed by a unit of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corp (CASC).
China hopes that the Smart Dragon will help meet market demand for rockets that can deliver small commercial satellites into orbit.
Last month, Beijing-based iSpace became the first private firm to deliver a satellite into orbit on its rocket.
China is leading the world. Congratulations China. You know what you are doing unlike in the West.

The west was on the moon while China was still barefoot.

Did it get them to the moon? Where were they in the 1960's? I know they were quite ingenuous a thousand years ago. Spaghetti and all, but any technology they have acquired in the past 100 years has been stolen from more advanced 1st world nations.
I think most people would agree that spaghetti is probably just a bit more important than space travel. Other foods the Chinese developed were: tea, rice, oranges, chickens, ducks, kiwi fruit, peaches, apples, lychees and other food stuff. All quite important because food keeps you alive.
The Russians were the very first to touch the moon and put hardware into orbit. This isn't 1960 and the US doesn't have anything like the kind of influence it once did.
Then their space program should be in disarray like the US but its not. These people invented gun powder... go figure.
Did you know the F-15 needs 600 electronic parts made in Chine than USA is unable to produce becuse. China has created them.
Okay 👌 👍 USA is the best in tech... Don't worry about China over taking... China can only copy ok! Don't freak out about Huawei, only copy 5G from the west/USA. Calm down, don't need to bring your mom into this subject
Do you know who make the rockets NASA uses to launch ships to space? Russia sell them to USA and every time they send an astronaut to the ISS (Wich is actually russian) they pay millions of dolars to Russia. NASA does not have the technology to produce those kind of rockets. And the buy the from Russia after a series of failures with american rockets.
lol China had discovered rockets thousands of years before your father wanked you out...
Now and then. In what century you live in? 1900?
So..US pays 100 million to launch a single satellite on Russian rocket engines..China launches three satellites at once on its maiden flight!! I can see why they are winning!
Lord Sir Hugo
Well now you can see how China keeps making massive progress everyone else jumps one step China jumps three.
