In one way or another China's economy is way behind the schedule to overtake US economy. I often don't fall for western propaganda but they have a point, China's population is ageing and yet Xi want to make china a strong consumer economy (which is still pretty big tho despite the demographic problems). Automation replacing labor is not advanced enough right now. China's per capita is big for a country with a billion people but compared to West and it's fellow Asian neighbors it's small. Most importantly china lacks strategic allies like which US have.
At last what I'm trying to say is like many says the gap between US and china in economic along with military, tech is wide than what we think. Sure china is closing in but not as fast as we expected. - UP: 1
