I didn't mean what you comprehended. Having paid exorbitant price for almost everything in Bangalore, I am of the opinion that local population do not believe in hard work and want to extract maximum money from outsiders in terms of room rent, over hyped costly nearby tourist destination, and auto/taxi fare etc. Most of the projects in Banglore takes years to complete for ex Metro and Koramangla flyover, professionalism and work ethics is completely missing. Roads, sewage, drainage are the worst and no one cares.

Noida has a better chance than Gurgaon as it has better Infrastructure and Planning.. With many companies setting up manufacturing bases in recent times.. Infrastructure cost is low with various high rises coming up and one of the few cities in India where wide roads are made first and then the buildings are developed.. There is a wide Expressway connecting Noida and Greater Noida.. (I currently reside in Noida so have a first hand experience)

The shopping hubs you mention is where the entire city descends to buy cheap goods so it'll obviously be crowded. The SEZ areas are very good with long roads and most of them are situated outside city limits.

Brother lots of development is happening in Hyderabad, especially outer Hyderabad (Gachibowli) and surrounding areas, in last 10 years there is huge capital inflow and lots of industries. Further, workforce is docile there, unlike northern counterparts (my observation).

In my opinion, India doesn't need Shenzhen like city right now, what we need is more and more Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities in almost every states. This will help in absorbing huge amount of under productive rural population by giving them opportunities and put less stress on farm sector. On addition Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities are easy to manage and would also reduce large migration in few big cities.

China has had the greatest rate of internal mobility in the last 40 years or so. The population of Shenzhen in 1980 was 60000 and in 2020 it was 12 million. That’s a factor of 200!!I don’t think ANYBODY can compete on that scale. The population of New York was 8.2 million in 1980 and it’s what now? 10?Simply cannot compete with China on scale.

Infrastructure wise I would say delhi is best in india. Wide roads, longest metro. Buy it has the worst pollution.
Bangalore has no roads, the planners just concentrated on building apartments and offices and forgot that you need roads to travel to those places. The road in my city is wider than most of the banglore roads.
Mumbai has its own problem with flooding and narrow roads.
Planning has been tossed out, when these cities were being developed.

Sir I live in Gurgaon since many years. Frankly speaking infrastructure of Gurgaon is pathetic. Roads, sewer lines all are below par. During monsoon season even a little rain can cause huge problem of water logging, traffic jam. So I don't think there will be much drastic development in next 10–15 years. Also security during night is a big concern here, this you might have heard in news several times.

The short answer is no. It is not comparable.
What Karnataka and Bangalore need is economic growth.
For the next 30 years, we should keep petty issues aside and focus only on economic growth. Issues like Lingayat vs Vokkaliga, Hindu vs Muslim, Marathi vs Kannadiga should be put on the back burner. We can revisit them later when we are prosperous.
And definitely, I think there are structural problems with politics in Karnataka like how Mr Kanthaswamy Balasubramaniam mentioned. People are not voting based on development but all sorts of third rate issues like caste, religion and ethnicity. Politics isn't about any particular community's ego-boosting. Politics is about POLICY!! It is right there in the word politics itself.

This is what I do to make the city a better place. Firstly, I vote. That's the only way we have to change political leadership. Going out and voting isn't that hard. I have seen too many students and young people who couldn't care less about voting.
Secondly, I work to be excellent in my career. This may not make a big difference but it helps. Your excellence in your career not only benefits you but also helps boost the reputation of the local work culture.
Lastly, I think we in Karnataka badly need a local version of the Aam Aadmi Party. AAP is one of the best parties around. They improved Delhi's infrastructure, GER, hospital bed to population ratio among many other things.
Hopefully, mismanagement by these national parties will trigger uproar similar to how it happened in Delhi.
