The space station is opened for all except NASA due to it's own policies restricting any form of cooperation with China. If I recalled correctly, It was reported France, Germany, Italy and 14 other countries have expressed their interest and very likely be participating on later projects

China will be wary of allowing any NATO country on board it`s station because as sure as day follows night they will be reporting right back to the Americans on all the tech on board , IMO China should keep them well away from thie station.

I understand your concern which is quite valid in terms of politic, however I am of the opinion that real scientist and engineers of any countries are not interested with politicking hence should be welcomed to propose and conduct experiment together to expand our knowledge as the the human race. Frankly I hope to see all the best brains sitting together and wishfully we can see more scientists from developing countries participate soon.

China just put 3 people into Earth orbit, and is constructing its own space station. The United States doesn't even have a rocket or a spacecraft capable of putting men into orbit (except via Russia's Soyuz or Elon Musk's "I hope it doesn't blow up" rockets). How is it even possible that the United States lacks the ability to put men into orbit, 60 years after doing it for the first time and 50 years after Apollo 11 landed on the moon? Something is gravely wrong with this. Is there a secret space program, or has the US really fallen that far behind? Bizarre.

The Falcon 9 rockets have been used very successfully yes there have been some problems but then one has to remember that in the early days of US spaceflight there were many explosions on the launch pad or in flight. Out of the Starship ships only a few have had problems.
NASA's SLS is getting ready for a test flight based on the former US space shuttle. Interesting in that you've forgotten that just a few years ago the shuttle programme was cancelled without a replacement programme. NASA did have something in the works that they were developing but that was cancelled too. The problem is as one of the original Mercury astronauts quipped, "No bucks, NO Buck Rogers"

Actually, I'm quite well aware of all that. The proposed space launch system and Orion spacecraft are way, way behind schedule and enormously overbudget. And they scarcely seem like any technological advancements from the Apollo era. Rockets by and large look mostly the same except some are bigger and others are smaller since the German V2. But unless one knows the engineering that is on the inside one can not say that there hasn't been any technological advancements from the Apollo era. For that matter the same sort of logic could be applied to the aviation industry. Planes have been pretty static in their design whilst lots of changes have been made under the hood.
Mars is and has been an achievable goal even during the Apollo era. The problem was that it was costed and proposed as Mars direct. The Mars society had proposed cheaper plans but NASA and the US government rejected them. It would have required several launches to send equipment to Mars prior to humans. Also a launch of a Skylab type of cruise vessel.

Compare the lunar landscapes in 2001 A Space Odyssey to those in the Apollo films. Compare the 1/6 G "fakery" in the Apollo films to the non 1/6 G movements in the Kubrick film. Then explain why Russia in the Soviet era couldn't tell the difference in telemetry between a real lunar landing and a faked one. I guess they must have been in on the scam? Trust me, I think NASA is deceitful and deceptive, but in an entirely different way. They've hidden evidence of things that "aren't supposed to be there," but I have not seen a shred of evidence - and I've looked hard - to support this claim that the landings were faked. There are photos from other countries showing the items left behind, the descent stages and such. People claim the Van Allen Belt radiation would have killed the astronauts (repeatedly this claim gets made), but Van Allen himself said this was preposterous. They were traveling at several miles a second and the exposure was akin to a few chest X-rays. All that being said, something IS suspicious about the 'coincidental' timing of the movie and the lunar landings. Kubrick had a message to get out, whether real or merely propaganda, but no, they landings weren't faked. Did they fake 10 Saturn V launches too? That would be rather difficult.
