The US is sick, broke, and a dying paper tiger. China has no need nor the time to challenge this evil dying paper tiger. It will die and collapse by its own self-harm evil deeds and evil geopolitical adventures around the world.
The US is confronting Russia, applying sanctions on Russia, provoking Russia at the black sea, and instigating and warmongering in Ukraine. Russia will not passively accept all these evil geopolitical vandalism of the US but retaliate and reciprocate with counter-sanctions, hostile postures, and damaging restriction and war exercises at the black sea to keep the US in check and busy.
Recently the US also provoking Turkey, accusing Turkey of genocide, Turkey responded by publishing the US history of genocide against native Indians, minority races, the US systemic human right violation records, etc. They are reactive and will counter attack soonest possible.

The US weakness and incapacity were clearly exposed during the fight against the covid pandemic. All the overrated capabilities were shamefully revealed and exposed. Until today the US still failed to control the covid pandemic. How can the US try to interfere with another country when it failed miserably to control an epidemic within its boundary.
The US ponzy economy is popped, financial system insolvent, living on debt rollover, reckless printing of dollars. The deficit spending is unsustainable. The dollar reserve and petrol dollar systems were massively abused. more and more countries will try to resolve to digital currency to bypass the dollar system. There will be disastrous consequences for the US if the world lost confidence in the dollar, look like the day is not far away given the massive reckless printing of the US dollar by Feb.

Power grid failed miserably during winter, unable to meet industrial needs, citizen forced to live in freezing temperature. The health care system is in shamble, overrated and weaknesses exposed during the current pandemic.

The US political system dysfunctional, unable to meet the 21st-century requirement, there is a moral meltdown in the political arena, politicians are increasingly resolved to lie, cheat, steal policy. The US administration is unreliable, has no more credibility, irresponsible often resolve to threaten allies, bullying weak countries, unilaterally applying illegal sanctions, abusing the dollar system and long-arm jurisdiction to secure what they desire and need. It is a regressive and inefficient system and practices risk of isolation by the world.
China does not have the need to challenge a sick, broke and collapsing America, the current administration policy and adventures will expedite the demise of the US and collapse of the country.

As an American living here I can most certainly inform you that we are doing just fine. Most of us are now vaccinated. The economy is booming. We proved that democracy works by replacing a bad president with a good one. We have competent leadership who fully recognizes the rights of all Americans. And our average quality of life remains very high across the board.
Just remember this: There is a VERY big difference between government and the people. We in the US share the same values as the everyday average people in China. I personally have no problem whatsoever with Chinese citizens. Many Chinese people live in the US and are a treasured part of our national identity. The sooner both countries realize we are all brothers and sisters in arms the better it will be for all human kind.

That has been repeatedly & openly stated by the Chinese Gov't officially. “We don't seek to challenge the American…but only to better ourselves, prosper develop ourselves.” lt is the West that is unable to understand China & unable to come to term that they will no longer be the commanding position and are unable to accept & live in harmony with the rest.

If we are to look at GDP (ppp adjusted), US is 2.24 times of India.
Assuming 2% growth rate for US, in 10 years time it will be 2.73, and 7% growth rate for India will become 2. Thats way below US.
India will need to achieve an annual growth rate of 10.2% over next 10 years to be on par with US. Is that achievable?
If India can only grow at 7% it will take 16 years for it to be on par with US, and that’s assuming the growth rate of US is 2% yoy.
Unless there's an exceptional event that tilt against US, such as a sudden devaluation of USD against most major currencies, I don't see how India can overtake the US within next 16 years.

That is probably only PPP, not GDP. I think I have seen that graph. I really think India is badly run, and Climate Change, and population, and all of its aggressive policies and corruption will really hurt India. It is not going to be long before India has more people and there will be a lot of poverty.

No thinking needed. Its a fact. India achieved its independence in 1947 from British colonization.
During 1950 to 1953, China fought the Korean war. From 1953 to 1970, China was under trade sanction imposed by the US. Its economy was in very bad shape.
But by 1985, China's GDP was almost the same as India in PPP terms.
By 2019, China's GDP was more than 4 times higher in nominal term and 2.5 time higher in PPP term than India.
So from 1947 to 1970 when China's development was severely restricted and disadvantaged by sanctioned, what's stopping India from growing its economy?
Similarly from 1970 onwards and given that India has the advantage of it's English literate population, what's stopping India from growing faster than China?
Even today when India's labor cost is cheaper than China, why aren't multinational companies flocking there to invest in swarms like bees to honey?

China is just a healthy kid growing up and going with his life, pursuing his dreams. Just because China is genetically big, it doesn’t mean he grows big so he can spank American ass.
You need to understand. China is vast, natural and human resources are abundant, the people, in general, have a good mentality, smart, resilient, and hard-working. China has all the ingredients required to become a world dominant power. A big and powerful China is inevitable, it is not an anomaly.

Define “challenge”. If you mean China is attacking the U.S., it’s not. All the challenge in that regard comes from the U.S. China just wants to get on with business. If you mean China isn’t getting down on it’s knees and begging for American mercy, you’re right. China is well enough established in the world economy that it doesn’t have to kowtow to American demands. Militarily it might not be able to defeat the U.S. but the U.S. would know it’s been in a fight and even it’s homeland likely wouldn’t go unscathed.
This whole thing between the United States and China is American driven. Trump looked around to find an enemy he wouldn’t actually have to go to war with and he picked China. Until the second year of his presidency the U.S. and China got along just fine. Then, with ISIS pretty much finished and America retreating from Afghanistan, the military industrial complex needed an enemy to keep itself fed and China fit the bill. The hawks can spend all sorts of money developing new weapons.
(For awhile it looked like North Korea might fit the “enemy” bill but Lil’ Kim is so unstable he might just start a war, something Trump, as a religiously confirmed coward, definitely did not want.)

American politicians have gone power crazy. They are dropping bombs after WWII and keep subverting other countries. In addition, the US and their lackeys, the UK and Australia (the New Axis Alliance), committed atrocities in these countries, like the murdering of 39 innocent Afghanistan done by the Australian soldiers including slitting the throats of two 14-year-old boys and subsequently having their bodies bagged up and dumped in a river, should never be tolerated.[1,2,3]
The new Axis Alliance is like the Nazis before WWII with powerful weapons and willing to use them recklessly against various nations with mere lame excuses.

The question asks Why does xxx dare to challenge… I say why not? China is big and strong enough economically, financially, (digital yuan) and literally militarily (various missiles). They make their own advanced pilotless fighter jets, wip a 3rd aircraft carrier and also have awesome navies and air strike force. Not to mention there is a space station hovering above. More and more nations, if they are clear minded, will move to the Chinese ‘camp' , because it advocates peace, not war.
