Alarming indeed. Next thing we want is the optimum solution to overcome this situation
Global Hunger Index ranking puts entire Indian welfare state concept into question.
Two arguments can be given. Either the administrations is not doing enough or what pthey're doing is not reaching the bottom line.
Total of four parameters are evalauted in GHI
Percentage wise India has improved in Undernorishment, Child stunting amd Child Mortality but we lost on Child wasting.
Nownmayhematically this improvement in three parameters looks good but in relaity this percentage becomes irrelevant because every year our population is increasing as well.
What caused such poor performance?
Climate change is destroying the food source. Whatever is available is getting overexploited.
Uneven distribution of resources.
Economic disparity majot hurdle.

全球饥饿指数排名让整个印度福利国家概念受到质疑。
可以给出两个论点。要么是政府做得不够，要么是他们做的事情没有达到底线。

Astrocities against women. This hampers women development and empowerment. Which in turn affects the child along with entire family.
Events like coronavirus and locust attacks put a dent on food availability and affordability of rhe nation.
What we need is the improved and targetted approach
And Public Awareness via TV, radio, mobile. This has no alternative.

It is a sad thing but not alarming.
India is a strange country which has two folded things, one is powerful resources in term of space science, medical science, computer science etc. Second is very large number of hungry peoples.
I will not blame on someone for this strange condition of India, not only on politicians. I see politicians involved in corruption and i also see common peoples breaking traffic rules and encroaching lands. Both, politicians and common peoples are same in term of behaviour. Politicians come from Indian citizens, not from other planets.
The root cause I feel of it is, the centuries of dependence of India, which made Indians illiterate and poor. You cannot fix the effects of dependence of centuries in only 70 years. It will take time.

我觉得根本原因是，印度几个世纪以来的依赖，使得印度人既不识字又贫穷。你不可能在短短70年内解决几个世纪的依赖带来的影响。这需要时间。

After independence, due to poverty and illiteracy, population of India increased in explosive manner. Now India has no such resources to feed 1.3 billions of Indians equally.
Situation will change but it will take time with the efforts of all citizens of India.

It is alarming and shameful. Pak, Bangladesh and Myanmar are above us.
Instead of looking into these things, we are fighting over issues like Sushant Singh Rajput death (whether it is murder or not), ‘Love jihad’, Cow protection...
No doubt these are important. But there are much more important things than the listed above. Hope we start looking into these - Farmer income and productivity (Not good when compared to others), Business environment, GDP going down over period of years. Petrol/diesel rates nearing hundred, Women safety, education, health - Covid has exposed this, migrants issue, security - national, food, data etc

A nation’s first and foremost duty is to ensure, that all people living within the nation, do not suffer from hunger. International rating or opinion, is only for public consumption. Let the global index be 4, 94, or 104, why should we bother about it. let us concentrate on people’s welfare, and not on world statistics.

We should pass laws, so that every farmer and restaurant should serve FREE food to atleast 10% of poor people, because they chose the profession to feed the people and it is their duty.
Farmers don't pay taxes also.
Farmers are getting free loans and most of the time their loans gets waived off from tax payers money.
Restaurants are charging tax payers so much to train their chefs. Chefs should be posted in rural areas to feed the poor and return back tax payers money.
