Nancy Lynn lived in US and Canada
I, my husband and our two children, their spouses and children not only would consider leaving the US if Trump is reelected, we fully plan on doing so. Our nation is coming dangerously close to being like Nazi Germany. Even if Biden wins, it will take years to undo the mess that has been made so far—whether reuniting parents with children, restarting the process of protecting our environment, or restoring our nation to people who care about each other. Some things will never be undone, of course, such as the women who had forced hysterectomies. They will never get their ovaries back. We invite all readers to undertake a similar experiment: Imagine a young child who you love more than anything on earth. Right now, that is our granddaughter. Now, imagine that child being torn away from you and/or the parents—your daughter is the mother perhaps?— with the possibility that you will never ever see them again, that you will never, ever know what happened to them or where they were taken. Imagine that child screaming as they are torn away with that desperate look in their eyes…Imagine the trauma that will live with that child for the rest of her life.

I left when Obama won so pretty much anyone can it’s if you have the means and you are really willing to leave your country of birth. And guess what I am happy where I am and I’m never going to live in the USA again. Not that I hate my country but I’ve truly found a place in this world where the government actually works for its people and works to make the country better and not constantly fight each other all the time. But be forewarned when you actually leave you will be faced with a few things and there is few tips for your new home.
First thing first is your immigration when you actually leave the USA and travel to a new country you will need to get a permanent visa. The visa you get upon arrival in 99% of the places you go to as a tourist is just for a certain time not permanently. You really need to research the immigration laws in your prospective host nation. Just getting a extended visa can be painstaking frustrating and expensive. Most nations require you to have a sponsor such as a work company if you have a job offer a local national who most likely you will have to pay to sponsor you if you don’t. Research is the key what’s the atmosphere like in that nation toward foreigners are they open? Nationalist? Is there tarrifs or taxes for employers who hire expats?

Make sure you have at least a years worth of income in the bank before you leave. Housing can be expensive in your new country here in Singapore to rent a flat or house it could run you at least 20K three months worth of rent and a security fee upfront. Utilities transportation most likely you will need to buy a car you won’t be able to bring yours overseas and what public transportation look like there? Is it safe? Timely? Schools for little Johnny and Janey schools outside of the USA for non citizens can be expensive and what are their studies like? Your going to need tutors do they teach in English? If you immigrate to any of the European countries other than the UK your going to need to learn that language.
Employment now this is a tricky and difficult one many employers overseas don’t care that your American and that will get you no special points and their requirements and way they do business is a complete 360 from home. Your qualifications and certifications might not be worth anything in your new host nation. What they immigration laws concerning employing foreigners? Is it like here Singaporeans first? Most countries are like that. Really do your research and never immigrate till you have secured a job. Because if you run out of money in your new host nation you will have troubles.
There are many others too to think about such as climatizing to the new culture you will living in. Crime and security. Good luck!

As an Australian, I am not having an interest living in the USA. However, as that nation is an important one on this planet, I can’t stand by and watch it going down the drain, by some ill informed citizens. The foreign policy of the USA does affect Australia too.
Hypothetically, if I am living in the US, would I leave if Trump is reelected ? No. If I had voting rights, moving offshore will reduced the pool of opposing votes at the next election. Staying and bearing the brunt of Trump’s government will increase the non violent resistance against him. Cutting back on spending will not create jobs or boost the economy, although the overall picture will present, that his economic policies are not effective with everyone.
Nevertheless, considering his stance on Law and Order, the risk of violent resistance will increase and his use of forces such as the Police and National Guard. In this case, in defense of democracy, it is vital keeping the Jurisdiction and Legislation as intact in line with the Constitution as possible.
Stopping this possible nonsense for another 4 years is absolutely important on November 03.

After Mitt Romney lost the 2012 election, I heard on NPR that if anyone who talked about moving to Canada if he lost actually meant it, they might be in for a surprise: Canada might not want them.
Canada prioritizes its would-be immigrants and permanent residents. Top priority is given to young, healthy people who work in one of the STEM fields and speak English, with bonus points if they’re also fluent in French. The least likely to be allowed entry to Canada are elderly retirees, who will use the health-care system but not work and pay taxes to support it.
That leaves me out; I’m 72, and I doubt that Canada is alone in not wanting an influx of geezers. The nearest German ancestors I can claim are great-grandparents, so I probably don’t qualify for German citizenship; and I don’t speak the language. Nor do I know anyone in Germany.
I try to remain optimistic that Trumpism is just a phase our country is going through and it’s not turning into apartheid South Africa 2.0.

Trump being elected won’t affect me in the slightest. I don’t allow his gaffes to ruin my life.
If some people want to leave over it, I think it would be a good thing. More houses for sale. Less complaining from people with TDS. Let those people leave. They can live somewhere else and bitch about that country instead. Those types of people can become someone else’s problem. We’re tired of hearing it here.
Even if Trump is elected it’s only for four more years. If that butt hurts you so much, don’t let the door hit you on the way out. Been listening to that for four plus years already. Please move.

If any US citizen thinks their country is going to leave them alone just because they moved somewhere else, that person is completely out of his or her mind.
If you are a US citizen, the “land of the free” owns your hide whether you run away to the steppes of Mongolia or the Amazon rain forest.
When you leave the US, the US government goes with you, and crawls even farther up your arse than it was before.
If you’re Chinese, and you don’t like China, you can move out of China to any country that will have you, and build a new life there, free from interference by China. The same for Iran. Or Pakistan. Or Brazil. Or Norway. In fact, for every country in the world except for the US and Eritrea.
If you are a US citizen who wants to be left alone by the federal government, moving to the US might be a better choice than moving from it.

With a great President like Trump, why leave. He will be the one that can bring America back from COVID-19 with a stronger economy and low unemployment. We had the best economy in 50 years, he’ll do it again. He’ll get our children back in school, work to reduce taxes, bring more peace to the Middle East. He’ll work to jail the domestic terrorists and make our streets safer. I would only leave if the Democrats are in power, force another lockdown and push their socialist policies.
