So here's a little more you may not know. Can Americans not see their own hypocrisy? They accuse other nations of not doing enough, not being prepared and not being disciplined about travel and provisions while you still do nothing. You don't wear masks while most infected nations do (watch any report, any vlog, any video).
But let's check the facts:
China was late but mass quarantined and mass tested and all nations did their best educating the public. Asian and European governments all ran educational adds on TV, in Newspapers and online before the virus hit. The only nation claiming nothing can be done is the US. Other nations have sufficient tests and masks available for their entire public.
The US sees no need.
Travel bans we know won't help since the virus also travels with products. How do we know? in The UK shipment and baggage handlers also got sick who had NO human contact! The first cases we suspected with the rapid spread in Italy weeks ago. So the lifespan of the virus is estimated to be 10 days on all surfaces and 27 days in humans the most. That's why you see countries "spray" everything from packages to airplanes and roads! Such are proper precautions. The US simply waits until people die.
I understand that for the US it's more difficult as the constitutions guarantees freedom of movement and free will. Therefore you can't do much immediately but you CAN pass emergency laws. NYC shows how it's done, still very cautious but if to prevent a mass epidemic it could be done on a large scale.
you will have more case in the US than you had in China which is a simple fact!
In summary, you go for NO DISINFECTION, NO PREVENTION, NO TESTING, NO EDUCATION, NO FUNDS and NO CARE for the entire public. The US could do it for less than a month of your military budget.
