China might attack the US when the US is no longer its best customer, and thanks to Trump's tariffs and Trump selling its high-tech chips to China, that day may come sooner rather than later.
Furthermore, now that Trump's America is now a mere groveling servant and parrot of Putin, China can now attack Taiwan and the US would get a Chinese slapdown if it tried to stop that…..which of course it wouldn't do because Putin would tell Donald not to. China know the US needs Chinese stuff more than China needs American.
China doesn't really need America as a customer, especially when America is being run by a diapered mental case who's unpredictable, brainless and prone to childish tantrums. Nobody needs that shit, which is why almost all countries are forging new markets with each other and cutting off the US altogether.
Trump's a nutcase and an asshole, and I bet there's more than one world leader who fantasizes about bombing America out of existence. Amazing how fast a single tacky, profoundly stupid, unAmerican 79 year old grifter took down the mighty US of A. China, Russia, North Korea, none have to lift a finger - they can just sit back and watch the US rot itself from within as Putin pulls the strings.

There really is no military threat to the US. The biggest threat to our society is ourselves.
Having said that, there is a couple potential military threats to our position in the world. An awful lot of the world depends on the US. World wide shipping depends on our dominance at sea, think about how much food, critical materials and oil gets shipped around the world, it is the US that patrols all those sea lanes, keeps piracy at a minimum, conducts freedom of navigation patrols.
A lot of the world looks to the US for security, mainly because we are the only nation that has a world spanning military. Our navy displaces more tonnage than the combined total of the next 13 largest navies in the world. Our military operates more aircraft than the remainder of NATO, Russia and China combined. Our ground forces are the best trained and equipped in the world and one of the largest.
But to use those ground forces they have to be shipped overseas, in order to do that we have to have complete dominance at sea, both for the initial movement of force and the following logistics trail, If a regional military gets strong enough that they can threaten those movement if they get to close the that host nation it severely reduces our abilities in that part of the world.
Currently both China and India are attempting to build forces that allows them to control their regions, If they succeed it will greatly affect our abilities in those areas. And from an economic point of view, both the Indian ocean and the South China sea are very important to the whole world. Those areas are traditionally rife with piracy, if the US can no longer safely patrol those areas that piracy will increase dramatically.
You see a lot of news concerning China’s naval and air force build up, So far they are not nearly strong enough to challenge the US, but they will be one of these days. Thats when the “Pax Americana” will start unraveling. The resulting regional wars will see a lot of people die. The period of time after WWII until now has been relatively peaceful, no big wars, even Vietnam and Korea were nothing to the scale of wars that occured prior. Its been the US military strength that kept that relative peacefulness in place. Not looking forward to that ending.
