On a (slightly) more positive note we as a country have drastically changed from 10 years ago. Hate it or not, but Mukesh Ambani has redefined the information age in India with the introduction of cheap super fast data with Jio. Now majority of the people have all the information in the world on the palm of their hands.
Now this decade will determine what we'll do with that data. Will we use it to become a legitimate superpower, and dare I say eliminate poverty altogether.
Or will we succumb to nationalistic fervor, disinformation and fake news as it is happening in many other parts of the world, while the very real prospect of global climate meltdown looms in the horizon. The next 10 years is probably the most crucial decade in the history of our country.
I hope the people of India make the right decision
